My board refuses to enforce a rule to keep trash cans in garages. In fact, board members themselves flaunt this rule and have definitively refused to enforce. This is a dense townhouse development and trash cans and trash is visible from our living room decks. I complained multiple times. The management company say enforcement is at the discretion of the board. Do I have any recourse?
If your board is not enforcing a rule, try approaching them or bringing up this issue at the next open board meeting. Bring a copy of the association’s governing documents where the rule is stated, if possible. If that does not work, you can attempt to remove problem board members from their position.
