I have been reading this forum for a while and finally wanted to share my own story, since posts like this helped me a lot when I was confused and stressed. This all happened in April 2026, so it is still pretty fresh in my mind.
A little background first. I live in Colorado, and I have dealt with anxiety for years. Some days are fine, but other days my chest feels tight and I cannot focus on anything. The one thing that always calms me down is my dog. His name is Sprocket, and he is a scruffy little mutt with one floppy ear and way too much energy. I adopted him in 2024 and honestly he changed my life.

So now, as of late April 2026, Sprocket is officially staying with me, and I feel completely at home. It is such a good feeling to relax in my own place with my best buddy by my side.
A few things I learned that made everything go so smoothly. Be open and honest about your condition, because the professionals really do want to help. Choose a trusted service like the one I used. And take a little time to learn your rights before you talk to your landlord, since it makes the whole conversation easy.
