Sandra Macdonald Insurance Agency has been serving Encino and the surrounding Los Angeles areas for over 30 years. Sandra’s agency specializes in community association and rental property insurance policies. Her friendly and experienced staff can help you get the coverage your association needs. Some of the important coverages we offer:
Property and Liability- It is always a wise idea to have your property and liability insurance under the same carrier. By having concurrent property and liability coverages with the same insurance carrier in the event of a loss, the coordination of both sides of the loss allow for a much more expeditious handling of the claim.
Sewer and Drain Back Up- Sewer and Drain Back up coverage will repair or replace property in the event of a loss or damage caused by back up or overflow of a sewer, drain or plumbing fixture, sump pump, or any other system located off the premises designed to remove subsurface water from the foundation area.
Earthquake Insurance- One of the most important coverages any home or business in California should have is earthquake insurance. It is important to note most standard insurance policies do not cover damage caused by an earthquake. Earthquake insurance will cover the cost of repairs for damage caused by an earthquake.
Employee Dishonesty- Covers costs related to direct physical loss of money, securities or business personal property.
Directors and Officers Liability- includes failure to procure, discrimination, duty to defend, non-monetary damages, errors and omissions, and broad names insured.
Cyber Liability and Data Breach- Cyber Liability insurance provides coverage in the event of a privacy breach. Cost coverage includes fees and costs related to hiring a call center and reimbursing an insured for post-event credit monitoring costs for victims of the breach.
Workers Compensation for Board Members- Even if the board members are voluntary, workers comp insurance is a good idea. Workers Comp will cover injuries sustained by service providers, board members injured while carrying out association business.
Liability Umbrella- For large associations, an umbrella policy is always a good idea. The umbrella policy will cover some things not covered by their main property/liability policy or even extend coverage should a claim overreach the limits of the original policy.
