Authority of President and Board

The HOA president typically has the authority to run HOA meetings, oversee decision-making, and act as the community’s representative when carrying out contracts, orders, and documents. They may also serve as the association’s signatory. Meanwhile, the board of directors has the authority to collect assessments, create the budget, enforce the rules, implement policies in line with the community’s governing documents, and handle funds.
