Question:
My HOA is not enforcing the rules regarding junk cars on the property and I am trying to sell my house. My neighbor has a junk car and assorted junk in the driveway and it is being called out by realtors who show my property. Also, because of the lack of parking in the driveway the street in front of my house always has their cars parked in front of my house. This is going to effect my property value severely, what options do i have?

Answer:
Hi Mark,
You can speak directly to your neighbor about cleaning up the junk and removing the cars parked in front of your home. If that doesn’t work, talk to your HOA board. If your association has rules about parking, abandoned vehicles, and keeping driveways clean, then your board should be enforcing them.
