Is it a requirement to notify association homeowners of a monthly and annual meeting on a community bulletin board?

Hi Lee,
Yes, under Chapter 720, Florida Statutes, homeowners associations are required to provide physical notice of board meetings even if electronic notice is also used. According to Florida Statute Section 720.303, notice of all regular board meetings must be posted in a conspicuous location in the community at least 48 hours in advance.
For annual and special membership meetings, notice must also be mailed or delivered to each member not less than 14 days before the meeting. If the HOA has adopted electronic notice procedures and a member has consented in writing, notices can be sent electronically, but that doesn’t eliminate the requirement for physical posting unless 100% of members have opted in.
