Question:
We have a Dysfunctional Board in a small community, 70 doors. What steps can we take to re-start?
– Frank
Answer:
Hi Frank,
The best way to restart, so to speak, is to elect competent board members at the next election. If you can’t wait until the next election, you might want to remove board members and elect new board members. You can remove board members according to Section 14-3-808 of the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code (if your HOA is organized as a nonprofit). Your bylaws may also indicate the requirements and procedures for the removal of a board member.
