Our HOA is considering moving everything online… meeting notices, payments, even board meetings. For those who’ve already done this, what are the pros and cons? I’d love to hear real experiences before we make a decision.
Pros: Faster communication, easier record-keeping, and no need to chase people for signatures.
Cons: Older residents struggle with tech, and some people don’t check their email regularly.
We went all-digital last year. It’s efficient, but be prepared for pushback. Some homeowners feel left out if they’re not tech-savvy. We had to offer printed notices for those who requested them.
Biggest downside? Some people now feel even more disconnected from the HOA. Attendance at board meetings dropped once we moved them online. If you switch, make sure you still engage the community in other ways.
