Trespassers in Oaktree HOA

The Oaktree subdivision is located in Snellville in Gwinnett County. The Oaktree Homeowners Association President Rosalyn Turner says the situation is just crazy. She said they recently upgraded the homeowners association poolhouse’s security cameras and security system.

After the upgrade, the homeowners association’s security system captured six break-ins. These incidents of finding trespassers in Oaktree HOA have been frequent, and all six occurred within just the past four months.

The intruders have caused damage to the HOA by exchanging drugs, bringing guns, and vandalizing property. The damage has amounted to thousands of dollars. The drug exchanges have even been caught on camera, according to the neighbors in the homeowners association.

Concern Throughout the HOA

Naturally, the residents of the Oaktree Homeowners Association are concerned. According to Turner, the young people are selling drugs and having sex. They have cameras situated throughout the poolhouse.

In recent months, the police force in Gwinnett County has been called to the area four times. Turner says the most recent trespassing incident occurred just last month as young people hopped over a fence.

According to neighbors, the vandalism has led to $2,500 in repairs to the HOA’s front gate. The HOA has also reported instances of theft and vandalized bathrooms. At one point, the HOA president personally broke up a drug exchange.

“Two men were selling drugs, and I walked up to them. I saw a gun on the seat when I walked up to the young man’s car,” Turner said. She also mentioned that most of the homeowners within the community are senior citizens. Meanwhile, the trespassers in Oaktree HOA do not reside in the community.

If necessary, the community is considering adding security guards to boost the association’s security. According to Turner, Oaktree is great. They simply want to be safe and live in a great community.
