Question:
Board members on the Architectural Review Committee, along with non-board members on the committee, vote on whether to recommend approval of the request to the board. Then as a board member they vote whether to approve the request. Is this correct? How else to do this when committee is required to have two board members. Thank you.

Answer:
Hi Nancy,
Your governing documents should tell you how your architectural change approval process should go. It is common to have a committee review requests first and recommend a decision to the board, with the board having the final say.
