Question:
Can Board Members of our HOA vote benefits for themselves?
– Gail
Answer:
Hi Gail,
HOA board members have a fiduciary duty to vote in the best interests of the association. That means they must not make decisions based on their own interests or advantage. If a conflict of interest arises, the board member with the conflict must recuse themselves from the vote.
