Must by-laws be filed with the registrar of deeds when changes are made. I know CCR’s must. The TN code that would apply to this association is prior to 2008.

If the association is a condominium created before 2008, the Tennessee Horizontal Property Act Section 66-27-112(b) may apply, which states that: “No such modification may be operative until it is embodied in a recorded instrument which shall be recorded in the same office and in the same manner as was the master deed or lease or plat and original bylaws of the horizontal property regime involved.” For further guidance, kindly consult a lawyer.
