Can an Owner Post No Parking Signs?

Question:

Can one homeowner in an HOA (with a private road) post “no parking, or vehicle will be towed” signs along their property line?

Is the road part of a private road with an HOA available for all to park on?

Answer:

Hi Jean,

It is important to check your governing documents for guidance on this matter. If it is a private road owned by the HOA, then the HOA will likely have rules that govern parking on that road. This includes whether or not owners are allowed to post no parking signs, or even post signs in general.
