Can my HOA tell me who can live in my home based on the covenant that says our homes are “single family homes”?
I have a friend living in my basement and my HOA has threatened legal action and stalks me by calling the town offices, walking around asking neighbors about my personal life… I feel violated and harrassed.

While an HOA can usually restrict the number of people in a home, it generally can’t regulate who can live in the home, unless it is a 55+ community where at least one household resident is of a certain age.
