Question:
What is the money we pay monthly used for? (Not for the neighborhood)
Is the job HOA to keep the community park clear from condoms, needles, underwear, trash and glass? Have people walk their dog off a leash?
Or have the off the leash on property or leaves the property without a leash and is viciously barking and running towards you? Street lights in the neighbor are y’all responsible to have it fixed? Or how about keeping the sidewalks clean from poop, trash and glass? HOA is suppose to be looked as a leader but want to break the rules buy also wants everyone else to follow them or they would get fined. How is that setting a good example of HOA? Why don’t we have neighborhood meetings to discuss everything that is wrong with the neighborhood. Setting a curfew for the kids. Instead of them running the neighborhood around 2am making noise and setting off fireworks or breaking the glass on the bus stop. What’s are the regulations for fences?

Answer:
Hi Raffaella,
It is best to take your concerns to your HOA, specifically your HOA board or community manager. Your HOA’s governing documents, particularly your CC&Rs and bylaws, should contain the information you require. These include cleaning responsibilities, pet policies, street light maintenance, sidewalk maintenance, noise rules, and fence restrictions.
You should also be able to check where your monthly HOA fees are going by examining your HOA’s financial statements. For more information on records inspections, check out this article: https://www.
