Question:
My mother needs an Estoppel letter/certificate from her HOA, to transfer her name as property owner back into the county tax records as per the Broward County Tax Appraiser office and to remove my brothers name from the current Tax records . My mother has been ignored by her HOA concerning her request and i would like to know if there is someone else that may be able to help her to get an Estoppel letter/certificate . Also , she fully owns her condo unit and is a disabled veteran who really needs help in this matter.

Answer:
Hi Fredrick,
Kindly exhaust all forms of communication with the HOA, including text, call, mail, and email. Your mother may also reach out to individual board members if she knows their contact details. She may also visit the HOA’s office to raise her concern. Alternatively, she may raise her concern at a board meeting. If the HOA is managed by a management company, she may also contact the management company. For further guidance, kindly consult a lawyer.
