While some states regulate this and expressly prevent HOAs from prohibiting the display of for-sale signs, Maryland is not one of them. Thus, it is important to check your condo’s governing documents to see what your association’s rules are. You may also want to talk to your condo board about it. Generally, though, you must not post a sign that restricts public right-of-way.
