HOA Board Not Fulfilling Their Promise to Maintain Driveways and Sidewalks

Hello,

My HOA informed us a few months ago around March that they were going to use the money that we have accumulated to pressure was the driveways and sidewalks in our neighborhood. I waited months for them to do it.

They never mentioned it again and when asked about it they never responeded. I heard from a neighbor that they decided not to do it anymore. But no one was informed as to why not.

We have over $85k in our HOA bank and nothing is being done with this money. Is there a way I can go about getting them to at least clean the drive way like they promised and the sidewalks as well.

Kindly review the governing documents to understand the HOA’s responsibilities when it comes to maintenance and repairs. If the HOA has a duty to maintain the sidewalks and driveways, you may submit a maintenance request to your HOA board to have them specifically clean the driveways and sidewalks. If they do not accept maintenance requests, you can contact them or submit a letter to ask why they have not completed the pressure washing work and cite the provision in the governing documents. You can also request a meeting with the board or raise this issue during a board meeting.
