Very curious as to how the hoa fee in the state of Washington specifically whidbey island is exuberantly high at a monthly compared to other states who will have the same free but at an every 6 month period. Hoa fee where I am is 568 a month which I find to be outrageous.

It is normal for homeowners associations to charge varying fees. One HOA’s needs may not be the same as another’s. As such, your HOA may be charging higher fees due to higher costs of maintenance, insurance, etc. You can ask your HOA board to view the annual budget to understand where your fees are going.
