Question:
Village at Pine HOA has a rule no trailers are allowed to park on the street.
However, the streets are property of Pine Township and they say it is legal to park on the street.
Can the HOA assess fines to individuals who park trailers on the street.
Or does Pine Township laws pre-empt, overrule the HOA rule?

Answer:
Hi Gerhard,
Broadly speaking, HOAs cannot regulate public roads. Homeowners associations normally only have authority over private roads that the HOA owns.
