HOA Management Fees in Georgia

Question:

We have a community of 37 homes. No amenities like pool, play ground, tennis courts, etc. Our HOA management wants to increase our dues from $3999 to $5940 a year. The increase is just the management fee. How can we refuse the increase?

What is a good small HOA management company in Georgia?

– Johnny

Answer:

Hi Johnny,

Your HOA board should have known that an increase would be necessary to afford the fees of the HOA management company. The management company’s fees are usually included in the management contract. If your HOA can’t afford the fees, you can try negotiating with the management company or switching management companies. You will find a list of good HOA management companies in Georgia here. Make sure to discuss management fees before signing the contract.
