HOA Not Maintaining the Community in CT

multiple issues with the association not keeping the property updated, not fixing issues such as foundation issues, landscaping, enforcing by-laws of cutting holes in outer walls of buildings. is there anything i can do?

Check your governing documents to understand the maintenance responsibilities of the association. Generally, the HOA is responsible for maintaining common areas, while homeowners are responsible for maintaining their own units or properties. If your HOA fails to uphold its maintenance obligations, you have a few options.

First, make sure to let your HOA board know about your complaints. Exhaust all forms of communication. If you have an HOA manager, let them know as well. Attend a board meeting to raise your concerns. If your board still fails to do anything, you might want to consider removing ineffective board members or replacing your HOA management company.
