Question:
We own a townhome and rent it for long term leases. Our HOA changed the rental rules such that a min lease of 12mo is required.
We have a tenant who wanted to extend a 12mo lease by 6mo. We did a lease addendum for the extension. My HOA is saying it isn’t valid because they require a min 12mo lease.
I explained it IS a 12mo lease being extended to 18.
Can they deny this for being less than 12?
