HOA Tree Roots Damaging a Homeowner’s Driveway

If my driveway has major cracks and missing pieces caused by a trees roots under my driveway that is considered a common/community tree what are my options to having the tree removed and my driveway repaired?

We recommend checking your governing documents for an HOA tree policy. At times, the HOA may shoulder the responsibility for the damages depending on what’s stated.

However, if you do not have an HOA tree policy, the damage to the driveway may be covered by your homeowner’s insurance policy. But, it will depend on what’s covered in your policy. Kindly call your insurance agent to address the issue.
