Hi Tim,
Homeowners associations are required to file documents with their county clerk’s office. As such, you can search the real property records in the county where the association or property is located. Some counties also allow you to search for property records online. Alternatively, the Secretary of State’s website also allows you to see whether an HOA is a nonprofit corporation.
