Question:
My wife and I recently purchased a property that we were told were in a HOA. We’ve looked through the rules and regulations that were given that some items seemed overly strict. My question is, we don’t pay into any HOA and owe no dues towards an HOA and really have not been informed of how the HOA is inforced except for what we were given on paper of rules,, my question is, do we have to abide by these rules if we don’t pay into or give anything to any HOA?

If your home is part of the HOA, then adherence to the HOA’s rules is mandatory. Failure to comply could result in penalties.
