Neighbor Approval for ARC Applications in Nevada

Question:

In Nevada, does the HOA (master or community) have the right to require signatures by neighbors for ARC applications? I’ve been told that rule is obsolete bc of new laws, but can’t find supporting evidence.

Answer:

Hi Joshua,

It is common for HOAs to require the approval of neighbors for ARC applications. Nevada law currently does not prohibit this. That being said, it is best to consult an attorney for further guidance on the issue.
