Question:
What can we do when our HOA does not respond back to any of our issues or concerns, when they do hold and have yearly HOA meetings at a minumun or enforce the the rules set in force. Recently our original HOA sold ownership to someone new and now we have a new HOA they have not taken the time to introduce themselves to any of us new homeowenrs in a new establishe subdivison. This is very frusterating. Nothign has been done or promised. No park built for children nothing. Who can we report them too. Appreciate your help.

Answer:
Hi Smitty,
First, make sure your requests to the HOA are made and submitted in writing. If the HOA does not respond to these written requests, try to get in contact with the HOA through email or by phone. Attend board meetings, if you can, as most HOAs hold a homeowner forum during the open session of board meetings. This is when you can raise your concern. Beyond that, if your HOA still refuses to respond to you, it would be best to seek legal advice from an HOA lawyer.
