Parked Vehicles Blocking the Sidewalk in Texas HOA

Question:

I live in Veramendi, it is located in New Braunfels Texas. I was informed that we could not block the side walk that connects to our driver way with our cars. I own three cars and every time we park in our own drive way it blocks the sidewalk. Can this rule be in forced?

Answer:

Hi Brandon,

If the rule exists in your HOA’s governing documents, then your board likely has the power to enforce it. Parking rules are common in HOA communities, and they exist to maintain curb appeal and regulate traffic in your neighborhood.
