Question:
i can sense some racism from the current board members/president that may potentially prohibit me from joining the board. should the president be a board member also?
– Rezwana
Answer:
Hi Rezwana,
The HOA board consists of board members, one of whom is the president. The president acts as the head of the board and presides over meetings, discussions, and votes. That said, board candidate qualifications cannot be based on race. Your HOA’s bylaws should contain the board qualifications, so be sure to review them.
