You may want to talk to the HOA board and bring up this issue so they can intervene. You also have the option of removing the board president from their position. The Hawaii Nonprofit Corporation Act discusses the removal of board members in three parts:
1. Removal of directors elected by members or directors (§414D-138)
2. Removal of designated or appointed directors (§414D-139)
3. Removal of directors by judicial proceeding (§414D-140)
