Question:
I have been requesting an HOA meeting for years. We have one via zoom once a year but unfortunately I am unable to attend due to my work schedule. I know they are supposed to have a yearly election for new board members but they are like ghosts! They do not offer any form of communication access or reply when I go through management. What can I do in order to be heard? I can’t reach anyone.

Answer:
Hi Maria,
There are several requirements in Florida when it comes to HOA meetings. Annual meetings are mandatory as per Section 720.306. Board meeting requirements are outlined under Section 720.303(2).
If you wish to voice your concerns, it is best to do so at the next board meeting. You may also approach your HOA board or community manager directly or reach out to them through various communication channels.
