Question:
I am attending an HOA meeting tonight. We are trying to stop neighbors from parking their cars in the street. The Emergency vehicles, school buses and mail trucks are impeded. What can we do?
– Terry
Answer:
Hi Terry,
If your HOA owns these streets, as in they are private roads, then your HOA board can enact parking rules to prevent residents from parking on the street. However, if your HOA does not own these streets, as in they are public roads, then your HOA likely doesn’t have authority over them. In that case, it is best to seek help from the local government.
