Teleconference Meeting Notice in Missouri

Question:

I have been on a condo hoa board before. My question is if a board has a teleconferencing meeting to conduct business of the condominium association, should all unit owners be advised and be on that teleconference? Also what is the time frame of notification be given?
Thank you

– Pat

Answer:

Hi Pat,

The unit owners must be given notice of that meeting even if it’s held via teleconference. With regards to the time frame, according to the Missouri Uniform Condominium Act Section 448.3-108: “Not less than ten nor more than sixty days in advance of any meeting, the secretary or other officer specified in the bylaws shall cause notice to be hand-delivered or sent prepaid by United States mail to the mailing address of each unit or to any other mailing address designated in writing by the unit owner.”
