Typo on Notice Makes It Void?

Question:

My condo HOA recently passed an amendment to the documents that restricts leasing.
I received a letter today telling me I must inform them if I am leasing or not, and if I do not respond it will be “a viloation of the Declaration for (the community) and your Association’s current Rule and Regulations regarding leasing.”
The problem with this notice as I see it is the named community in the letter is incorrect!
However, further down in the letter where I’m supposed to fill out details they put the correct community name.
My thoughts are that this notice is void because it’s improperty written and I can safely ignore it.
Am I correct?

Answer:

Hi Frances,

It is best to follow your association’s guidelines and rules. The name on the notice may only be an oversight or a slight error. You may still face penalties for violating your community’s rules.
