Our HOA has insurance and we are interested to see if the coverage and costs are competitive? How do we do this? The current insurance document is 174 pages long and quite frankly is beyond my expertise to understand.

If you wish to compare prices and coverages, it is a good idea to ask various providers for quotations or proposals. Understanding policies, though, can be difficult. If you need help going through the documents, you may want to ask your agent/advisor or an attorney. An HOA manager may also be able to help you.
