What to Do About a Runaway HOA Board in PA

Question:

We have a runaway board. the 5-4 majority are making decisions arbitrarily with no input from members. They have instituted a censorship policy, again, not allowing members any avenue for rebuttal to their actions. It there anything members can do to put a stop to their actions.
thank you.

Answer:

Hi Judith,

If you are unsatisfied with your HOA board, you may remove them from office. The process for removing a board member/s can be found within your bylaws. You can find further guidance on removing board members under Section 3303 of the Pennsylvania Condominium Act and Section 5303 of the Pennsylvania Uniform Planned Community Act.
