Duckworth-Morris Realty Company, Inc. specializes in Property Management and Development. Joe Brown Duckworth Sr. developed the first large scale garden home development in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1981. That led the company to become involved in homeowners’ association management. The company continues to develop single family home neighborhoods and condominium developments in the Tuscaloosa/Northport area to this day. Due to the company’s experience with homeowners’ association and condominium association management through the properties the company developed other associations not developed by Duckworth-Morris Realty Co., Inc. came to Duckworth-Morris for assistance with their association management. The association management business grew and Duckworth-Morris currently manages over 50 homeowners’ associations representing over 4,000 units in the Tuscaloosa/Northport area.
With advancement in technology Duckworth-Morris is able to allow staff to work remotely and is ready to manage homeowners and condominium associations statewide. This is an exciting new chapter for Duckworth-Morris Realty Co., Inc. which is one of the State of Alabama’s oldest continually run businesses dating back to 1867 when it began as an insurance agency. The company was bought by J.A. Duckworth and Charles Morris in 1918 and has been operated by the Duckworth family since Mr. Morris retirement in the 1950s. Mr. Joe Brown Duckworth Sr., Joe Brown Duckworth Jr. and Warner Johnson own and operate the company at this time.
