Been living in Dubai Marina for about three years now and I swear the humidity and heat here just eats through car batteries faster than anywhere else I’ve lived. My SUV is due for a new one and I’ve been putting it off but the slow starts this week are making me nervous. I remember a colleague mentioning that there’s a pretty straightforward way to get this sorted where you just enter your car details and they come to you, no need to drive anywhere or wait around at a garage. I think he mentioned you can visit this website to check availability and pricing before committing to anything, which sounds way better than calling around different shops and getting quoted different prices every time. I’m just a bit overwhelmed by all the battery brands out there – AC Delco, Varta, Bosch, Amaron – and I honestly don’t know which one is actually worth the money for a car that sits in the sun all day. I don’t want to cheap out and end up replacing it again in a year, but I also don’t want to pay double for a brand name that’s not really any better. Does anyone have recommendations for a solid battery that handles the Dubai climate well? Also, has anyone used a mobile service recently and can tell me if they actually show up on time or if I’ll be waiting around all afternoon? I work from home mostly so I can be flexible but I still don’t want to waste my entire day waiting for someone to show up.
