I’m starting to get really worried about my Grand Cherokee because over the past couple of weeks, the transmission has been acting up in a way that’s hard to ignore. It’s not slipping badly or anything dramatic yet, but I’ve noticed a definite hesitation when it shifts from second to third, almost like it’s thinking about it for a second before engaging, and sometimes it feels like it’s hunting for the right gear on slight inclines. I’ve checked the fluid level and it seems okay, not burnt or anything, but I know these transmissions can be sensitive and I really don’t want to leave it until something major fails and leaves me stranded. I live in Khalifa City and I’ve been trying to find a workshop that actually knows how to properly diagnose transmission issues rather than just guessing and quoting me for a full rebuild straight away. A mate of mine mentioned that there are some Jeep transmission repair specialists in Khalifa City who apparently have the right diagnostic tools to pinpoint exactly what’s going on without just throwing parts at it, which is exactly the kind of place I’m looking for. Has anyone here had similar shifting issues that turned out to be something relatively simple like a solenoid or a valve body problem, or am I looking at something more serious like clutch pack wear? I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences before I start making calls, because I’m honestly dreading the potential cost of this repair.
