Hi everyone,
I’m writing this because I’ve been trying to understand how others actually deal with sudden anxiety attacks in real situations. For me, it usually comes without warning. I could be doing something normal like working, traveling, or just sitting, and suddenly I start feeling my heart race, my breathing gets shallow, and my mind goes into overdrive.
In those moments, it doesn’t feel like I have control over my thoughts. I’ve read a lot of general advice online, but when it actually happens, most of it feels hard to apply. Sometimes I just sit still and wait for it to pass, other times I try to distract myself by walking or focusing on something around me.
I wanted to know from people who have genuinely experienced this – what do you actually do in that exact moment when it hits? What has realistically helped you get through it?
