Owner Wants to Sue HOA in FL

Question:

My HOA has failed to maintain the common areas, storm waters system, and roads. I am looking for an attorney who can help.

Answer:

Hi Michael,

If your HOA has done an unsatisfactory job, it is best to first take it up with your HOA board. Let them know about your concerns. If your HOA board isn’t doing its job, you may want to consider removing the board members.

Refer to a previously answered question for guidance on HOA board removal: https://www.hoamanagement.com/ask-an-hoa-manager/complaints-against-hoa-board-in-florida/

You may also want to undergo dispute resolution. Filing a lawsuit should be your last resort. However, if you still wish to pursue legal action, you may look for lawyers in Florida here: https://www.hoamanagement.com/lawyers-by-state/florida
